Big B blogs with emotion, “Nobody does this Shanouk .. no one !! What you do no one else does! Are you aware of this? You should be .. but you never express it. How does one describe you? You must be exceptional to all. Such a blessing that you are who you are... and not a human!”

He says, “It is the love that a pet expresses that brings us emotion. And all for what, that we are able to give him his meal on time?”

The Big B looked to his pet for solace as a persistent reporter tried to get him to respond to requests to attend a function as he and actress wife Jaya tended to daughter-in-law Aishwarya, who was unwell.

Story, why role, lady director, Sir Ben Kingsley, gambling, where do you get energy from, why do you not retire, what do you think of Abhishek and his TV debut and finally ... can we have a picture with you! Never refuse a journalist, so says another journalist, always respond even it is to say no. ...And I always oblige.”

Shanouk is the only purity around, he says, “The only purity ... Shanouk, my pet, my Pirana Dane, oblivious to all around him, sniffing his affection inches away from your face, snuggling his uncontrollably large frame along yours, alert at the whiff of any strange sound or intrusion, up and about to investigate personally where and how the danger lurks, a few warning barks, a few grunts of dissatisfaction and back to secure pastures at the feet of the master.”
